Personal Update from Shaun’s Desk – September 2022

On the 9th of September 2022 it was officially 2 years since I started my business 3B Financial Services (3BFS). It has been a journey of growth, excitement, and challenges. I cannot thank you all enough for the support you have given me during this time, I couldn’t have imagined being where I am now 2 years ago!

I would like to introduce you to my 3BFS team members, who have become vital to the business – Amity, Arlo and Katrina. Some of you have had the opportunity to work with my team already, as they have been providing me with support over the years and to be honest have been a godsend. I will be putting up some more meet the team posts and emails etc. over the next few weeks.

I also have a new website up and running www.3bfinancialservices.com.au. I would love for you to all go and have a look and let me know your thoughts. Your feedback on whether you’d like to see anything else added online, constructive criticism and content ideas are all greatly appreciated.

I have more really exciting news, I started a Podcast! Hold your searches, I haven’t gone live yet. I will provide more information on how you can tune in soon. My whole reason for starting the podcast is to provide a platform for my clients and associates to share the knowledge and experiences they have gained through small business. How awesome will it be to share our personal insights, you have all been on a journey and the lessons learned are invaluable! So don’t be surprised when I hit you up to join me on there!

You will see my saying on the website “You will always be part of the family”, so I would like to share some more personal family news with you all. About 7 months ago our youngest son Bodhi got diagnosed with Level 3 Autism. We deep down knew it to be the case, but we had to wait for the official diagnosis (a process that took 12 long months). He is our little legend and if you met him day-to-day you wouldn’t notice his Autism as he can talk, he goes to kindy etc. But he does need regular help to manage his anxiety and emotional overload especially when in public or outside his comfort zone.

We received advice to apply for an autism safety pup and after quite the process, we have been approved through a company called Smart Pups Australia. It takes 18 months to train the puppy to support Bodhi and to start the training, we need to raise $20,000 for Smart Pups Australia.

As some of you know I don’t like asking for help, so I am finding it difficult to write this! But it is so important to our family. We have a donations page setup for Bodhi (see below). If you can spare a moment to take a look at what Smart Pups is about, we would appreciate your time. If you would like to help with a donation of any amount, Leah and myself would be eternally grateful. Also, any donation is tax deductible (something close to all of our hearts! especially when it comes to tax planning)

If you have any questions or want to have a chat about anything, please reach out. But I cannot wait to see what the next few years holds for us all!

  1. Congratulations guys on getting through the first couple of years. I thank you for your prompt and efficient assistance when needed.
Also a heart felt thanks for your previous referrals which is greatly appreciated.
If Bodhi follows in his parents footsteps he will be fine. All the best for the future of 3B.
